This is the case to a fairly new game, NBA 2K 12. The function of this piece of graphic design is packaging. What attracted me to this piece is the fact that the designer gave game lovers the option of choosing which NBA star they wanted on their particular case. There were about 3 different choices. This is my boyfriend's game and he choose this guy (who ever he is- I'm NOT a gamer!). I believe this is an Early Modern example of graphic design because there is photography instead of illustration, the background is red, and there is a lack of ornamentation in the whole design. I think this game case is pretty creative. It is definitely energetic.
